"A couple of health food store owners would meet at the end of each week in a car park, and they'd collectively buy with suppliers and share that out," Go Vita CEO Andrew O'Keefe says. "It started off with very humble beginnings."
The company is now proud to have 131 locations, and serves each of the Australian states. Go Vita is looking to strengthen its presence by growing out of its roots on Australia's eastern seaboard, and plans to do so thanks to a deep knowledge of the healthcare industry.
"When you look at today's environment, the consumer is becoming more savvy around their own health requirements," O'Keefe says. "People are able to source information at their own fingertips nowadays, but we add a human element to the equation.
"We want to make different propositions available to our customers, whether they're looking for vitamins, supplements or health foods."
