Rohold Discusses How IC Companys Uses Recession to Strengthen its Business Strategy in Business Review Europe

IC Companys A/S is a Danish listed group formed in 2001 by the merger of Carli Gry International A/S and InWear Group A/S.

SAN DIEGO, CA, March 18, 2011 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- IC Companys A/S is a Danish listed group formed in 2001 by the merger of Carli Gry International A/S and InWear Group A/S. The company, which registered an annual revenue of DKK 3.5 billion in 2009/10, runs and develops 11 strong and independent brands: Peak Performance, Tiger of Sweden, Jackpot, InWear, Matinique, Saint Tropez, Part Two, Cottonfield, By Malene Birger, Soaked in Luxury and Designers Remix.

With the global financial crisis crippling companies worldwide, IC Companys worked hard to cut back costs and weathered the storm by staying profitable throughout the crisis. Rohold believes its experienced management team held the company together at this critical time. "This team has re-defined how we do business and are working to commercialise and industrialise the market segment we are in," he says. "The company needed their expertise to improve and renew its processes."

According to Rohold, the economic downturn highlighted the areas where IC Companys was going wrong. "When everything is working well mistakes often slip through the net and are often overlooked," he says. "We saw that we needed to cut costs and looking at the processes of the company in turn, implemented a new structure for how we work in the wholesale and retail markets."

The company is currently busy working on its 11 brands and Rohold anticipates that it will not add another brand to its portfolio in the immediate future. However, the new structure opens up the possibility of acquiring new brands in the coming years. "We now know exactly how a new brand must fit into each strategic level of the company," he says.
