Anita has assisted numerous companies with OSHA settlement agreements and has worked with trade associations to develop voluntary ergonomics guidelines for their industries. She has written numerous articles on the application of ergonomics for trade magazines and industry journals and has been a columnist for ErgoSolutions and Leverage Magazines.
Anita is the former executive director of The Ergonomics Center at North Carolina State University and a long-time contributor to the science of ergonomics. Previous employers include Health & Hygiene, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Morgantown, WV. Anita draws from her vast understanding of ergonomics issues facing business and industry to develop and deliver programs and services that better meet the needs of today's workplace. Anita received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Anita is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) and Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE). She is an active member of the national and local chapters of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the national chapter of the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society. She serves on several ergonomics committees and technical groups in these organizations. She attributes her success to her client dedication and management abilities.
