Sensational CEO Of Charitable Foundation Joins The Distinguished Community Of Stanford Who's Who

Stanford Who's Who welcomes Shira Herzog to the ranks of premier professionals as a result of her extraordinary effort in charity work.

As President and The Kahanoff Foundation, as well as throughout her incredible 20 year career, Shira has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be among the best.

The Kahanoff Foundation, a private charitable foundation, was established in 1979 by Sydney Kahanoff, a Calgary oil and gas executive and philanthropist. The Foundation was established with a mandate to provide funding for creative and innovative charitable organizations and programs in Israel and Canada with a focus in Calgary. The Kahanoff Foundation selects areas for strategic focus and community investment that reflect opportunities and challenges in these diverse communities.

Shira Herzog's eclectic professional life spans professional philanthropy and political analysis. In addition to her role as President and CEO of the Kahanoff Foundation, she has consulted and lectured widely on strategic philanthropy and social change. Shira is an Israel-affairs columnist with The Globe And Mail, co-host of the weekly Crossroads Television program, Our Jewish World (formerly Israel Today), and a guest analyst on radio and television. She has a special interest in the role of community groups in international conflict resolution and in particular, has studied the work of Palestinian and Israeli peace organizations.

Shira is Chair of the Board of Philanthropic Foundations Canada and has served on the boards of Institute for Research on Public Policy and Israel Venture Network. During her educational career, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English/History from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Master's Degree in English Literature York University in Toronto.
