Judy A. Hammond to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Judy A. Hammond celebrates 19 years as a highway safety specialist for the United States Department of Transportation
WASHINGTON, DC, May 05, 2010 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Judy A. Hammond, a Highway Safety Specialist for the United States Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in safety administration and program management.
With 19 years of experience as a highway safety specialist for the United States Department of Transportation, Judy A. Hammond is responsible for assisting in regional operations and program delivery, delivering technical assistance for highway safety grant programs, managing child safety and highway safety grant programs, and overseeing child safety seat inspection sites. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in law enforcement and the experience she gained while working in the police department. She attributes her success to her background in journalism and people management skills.
Ms. Hammond is an associate staff member at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Transportation Safety Institute. She has co-authored two safety-related publications, Baby Seats, Safety Belts and You! and Virginia Local Transportation Safety Commission Guidelines.
Ms. Hammond received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a concentration in public relations and communications in 1972 and 1982. She is a Life Member of the Lamar University Alumni Association, the Texas State Society of Washington, DC, and the Northern Virginia Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter.
