Dr. Navaie is a professional with over 24 years of experience working in the health care industry. She has held positions at several state and local departments of health, academic medical centers, community-based health service organizations, hospitals as well as academic appointments.

Dr. Navaie is an active member of many professional national and international health organizations, serving at a leadership capacity on multiple organizational Boards of Directors, task forces and committees. Moreover, she is a peer-reviewer for eleven prestigious health and policy journals internationally. In addition, Dr. Navaie has been the recipient of multiple scientific and research awards throughout her career.
Dr. Navaie received her Doctor of Public Health degree with emphasis in maternal and child health, epidemiology, and health economics from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California Los Angeles and undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and French literature from the University of California San Diego. Additionally, she holds multiple advanced certificates in quantitive and qualitative research methodology.
