Margaret M. Johnston Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Editorial Services

Margaret M. Johnston, writer and editor, excels at preparing books, plays and scripts for publication

ATHENS, GA, March 29, 2010 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ --Margaret M. Johnston, Writer and Editor for Writing Wright, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in editorial services.

A veteran English and journalism teacher, Margaret M. Johnston has had a 60-year-long affair with the written word. She retired from teaching in 1996 and launched a second career as a writer and editor with the establishment of Writing Wright. A sole proprietorship specializing in writing and editing services, it gives Ms. Johnston an outlet to share her expertise. Widely respected for her writing ability and impeccable knowledge of English grammar, she is often sought to write, edit and format books, plays and scripts for publication.

Ms. Johnston is a published author herself, having released her first novel in 2009. Entitled "Vault," it is a love story set in a sports milieu and reflects her experiences in athletics as a former college track and field official. During her time in the academe, Ms. Johnston taught at the University of Georgia's College of Journalism and Mass Communication; this stint, in addition to starting her own business, is counted among the highlights of her long career.

An alumna of Syracuse University, Ms. Johnson holds a master of arts in journalism. She also received a bachelor of arts in English from Furman University and an associate of arts from Mars Hill College. When she is not working, Ms. Johnston volunteers with the First Baptist Church Choir and with Athens Regional Medical Center as a salesperson. She is also affiliated with the Classic City Pilot Club of Athens and the Georgia District of Pilot International, which she previously served as governor.
