Kathleen Vierra Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Kathleen Vierra earned the President's Award for Literary Excellence from the National Authors Registry
KULA, HI, March 16, 2010 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ --Kathleen Vierra, Partner of Amaryllis, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in publishing.
Having established Amaryllis in April 2002 with her husband, Ms. Vierra specializes in writing and computer accounting. As a partner of the publishing company, she takes responsibility in handling bookkeeping, writing and marketing. Honored with the Accounting Program Outstanding Student Award in 2005, she was also a featured poet in the International Who's Who in Poetry. In addition, her poetry was featured in "America at the Millennium: The Best Poems and Poets of the 20th Century," by International Library of Poetry in 2000.
Prior to establishing Amaryllis, Ms. Vierra served as the business manager of the Curtis Wilson Cost Gallery, where she handled accounting and marketing. She also worked as an administrative specialist for the Maui AIDS Foundation, in which she oversaw all human resource duties and supported the board of directors. She is currently a computer accounting consultant, in addition to the partner of Amaryllis.
Ms. Vierra obtained her Associate's Degree in Accounting from Maui Community College in 2005, where she currently serves as an accounting advisory board member. She wrote her first poem in 1967, which was in protest of the war in Vietnam, and she has completed a book entitled, "Silver Fingers," consisting of poetry and photography. She is currently focusing on marketing the book, and she utilizes her spare time to volunteer as a storyteller at a local elementary school. She attributes her success to her husband's support.
