Waldorf, MD, March 24, 2010 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- John S. Verrico, Motivational Speaker and Trainer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in life coaching.
"There is a value to learning something every day," says John S. Verrico, organizational development specialist and personal life coach. Adopted from his father, this adage has guided Mr. Verrico throughout his personal and professional endeavors. A retired journalist and U.S. Navy veteran, he lends nearly three decades of expertise as a motivational speaker and trainer. He offers consultations and motivational speaking on the topics of leadership, communications, media, public relations, work-life balance, public speaking and customer service, and is currently serving as the media spokesman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Science & Technology Directorate.
Mr. Verrico is considered to be one of the foremost authorities on such topics with a master of science in organizational leadership from Norwich University. Crediting his success to his desire to help others, he sits on the board of directors at the National Association of Government Communicators, and maintains active affiliation with the Public Relations Society of America and Toastmasters International. For his professional excellence, Mr. Verrico has been honored with multiple recognitions including the Rear Admiral Thompson Award for Excellence in Public Affairs in 2005, the Top Exhibit and Event Manager of the Year Award by Exhibitor Magazine in 1998, and the Silver Dome Community Relations Award from the Public Relations Society of America in 1995. He has also received numerous commendations from his time in the Navy and as a public affairs professional for state-level and federal government agencies. As he moves forward, Mr. Verrico will look to retire from federal service and provide training and life-coaching services on a full-time basis.
