Leanna Y. Brown Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Leanna Brown serves on the state advisory committee for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights
CHATHAM, NJ, November 29, 2010 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Leanna Y. Brown, Chairperson for Brown Global Enterprises LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in politics.
With nine years of experience in her field, Ms. Brown is a chair of Brown Global Enterprises LLC, a consulting firm. Throughout her career, she has acquired an expertise in rapport building, and helping people realize their potential.
In 1983 Brown was elected as the first Republican woman New Jersey State Senator. Sen. Brown was appointed to the Casino Control Commission in 1993 where she served until 1999. Now, she is a columnist for Recorder Community Newspapers, a weekly serving 100,000 people in Northern New Jersey. Sen. Brown also serves on the State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
In 1956, Sen. Brown received a Bachelor of Arts in Government, Magna Cum Laude, from Smith College in Northampton, Mass. She belongs to the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, which recognized her in 2010 as a Morris County Legend.
She is affiliated with the NJ International Women's Forum, Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. In 2009, Sen. Brown was appointed to the NJ Council on Local Mandates.
Sen. Brown resides in Chatham with her husband of 53 years. They have two sons and four grown grandchildren.
