Eve Jeanette Blohm Honored for Accomplishments in Authorship

Eve Jeanette Blohm is Cambridge Publishing's "Professional of the Year in Authorship"

    NEW YORK, NY, November 10, 2009 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Eve Jeanette Blohm, Artist, Writer and Investor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of authorship.

Eve Jeanette Blohm, artist, writer and investor, possesses over 44 years of professional experience. A published author, she specializes in the composition of haikus - a form of Japanese poetry. Over the course of her extensive career, Ms. Blohm has written over 28 books and a manuscript entitled "Sandcastle Dreams." Additionally, she has publishing credits in "Parnassus: Poetry in Review," "Se La Vie Writers Journal," "Cochran's Corner," "Poets at Work," "Lucidity Magazine," "Loan Star Magazine," "Bell's Letters Poet" and the United Amateur Press Association. A featured poet for "Haiku Headlines," "Poets Fantasy" and "Simply Words," Ms. Blohm was listed as a distinguished poet by PAW.

As someone who attributes her success to her persistence and loyalty, Ms. Blohm developed her writing talents after receiving encouragement from her sociology teacher at Adelphi University. Throughout her career, she has earned multiple distinctions, including a Pushcart nomination and the Poetry and Prose Award. She's also placed first, second, third and fourth in several poetry and prose contests and most recently received the distinction of "Professional of the Year" by Cambridge Publishing for the 2009-2010 year.

Ms. Blohm holds a bachelor of arts in German and social sciences from Adelphi University, earned in 1964. She is a member of the New York Poetry Forum, the Horticultural Society of New York, the New York State Poetry Association, the Academy of American Poets and the League of Women Voters of the United States. She is an accomplished swimmer who swam across Lake George, and is an active supporter of local charitable organizations including Lighthouse PR, the American Cancer Society and the office of Congressman Bill Green. Looking to the future, Ms. Blohm intends to further her computer proficiency and have more of her works published.
