Joan G. Kekst to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Joan G. Kekst has been writing a food column for the Cleveland Jewish News for 28 years
BEACHWOOD, OH, August 6, 2009 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Joan G. Kekst, Food Writer for the Cleveland Jewish News and kosher cooking teacher at Laura and Alvin Siegal College of Judaic Studies, has been recognized by Cambridge who's who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in culinary arts.
Ms. Kekst writes the recipes for the Jewish holidays and teaches kosher cooking. Her book, "Passover cookery: In the Kitchen with Joan Kekst", was published in 2000. She attributes much of her success to her late husband, nationally known architect, Keeva J. Kekst (passed 2004) who was her "hero and her champion". The couple has five children.
Ms. Kekst received her Master's degree in Judaic Culture from Laura and Alvin Siegal College Of Judaic Studies in 1998 and her Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics from Notre Dame College in 1986. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Siegal College and is past president of the Friends of the Library at Siegal College. She has appeared on local TV and often gives lecture/demos to organizations..
