After retiring from his position as the Director of the Federal Quality Assurance Program within the office of Financial Aid at Florida State University, Mr. Dirickson began writing children's books and his autobiography 'Purple Robin.' He is the author of three books that are currently being published and is working on writing his fourth one. He attributes his success to his hard work, his parents' advice and being raised in Qulin, a small conservative town in Southeast Missouri.
Mr. Dirickson serves as president of the local homeowners' association and supports the Clark County Animal Shelter. He intends to write and publish more books.
