Cathleen A. Ziegler Manages Communications for Renowned Newark School

NEWARK, NJ, July 10, 2009 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Cathleen A. Ziegler, Director of Communication and Grants for St. Philip's Academy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of grant writing.

Ms. Ziegler's expertise is in communications and writing. She assumed her current position at St. Philip's in 2008 and is in charge of all media operations for the school. Her responsibilities include writing grants and press releases, producing marketing material, and reporting on various programs and fundraising activities. In the short span of one year, Ms. Ziegler oversaw the school's visit to CNN during a feature which was presented on the news channel. She is proud to be associated with a school known for the caliber of its staff and students, and attributes her success to the influence of her parents, who instilled in her the importance of education and inspired her to become one of the first people on either side of her family to finish college.

Enrolled at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Ms. Ziegler is pursuing her Master's Degree in Media Studies. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Public Relations, with a minor in English and Writing, from Rider University. In five years, Ms. Ziegler aspires to manage various aspects of communications at St. Philip's and form a staff to assist her so that she can devote more time to projects.

St. Philip's Academy raises 60 percent of its operating costs and takes pride in offering a unique educational opportunity to capable students, regardless of their ability to pay. It aims to provide a model of educational excellence, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the city of Newark. For more information, visit http://www.stphilipsacademy.org.
