Catheryn Wright, Ed.S. Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

Ms. Wright specializes in language, composition, writing and music.

    NEWNAN, GA, March 6, 2009 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- Catheryn Wright, Ed.S., Director of the Newnan Campus at the University of West Georgia, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of academic administration.

With 34 years of experience in the academic field, Ms. Wright specializes in language, composition, writing and music. On a daily basis, she is responsible for overseeing operations of the satellite campus, working with deans and department chairs scheduling courses, interacting with professors and instructors, and consulting with students.

Prior to joining the staff of the University of West Georgia, Ms. Wright worked for the Georgia Youth Science and Technology Center from 1990 to 2007. She also taught for 16 years at the elementary level in a public school. Ms. Wright graduated fourth in her high school class along with her twin sister and was encouraged by her parents to pursue higher education. She attributes her success to her hard work, perfectionism and love for what she does.

A graduate of the University of West Georgia, Ms. Wright received her Educational Specialist Degree in 1989, her Master of Education in 1979 and her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1973. She is a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Kappa, Alpha Delta Kappa and the Georgia Science Teachers Association. A longtime volunteer choir leader with Rutledge Corp., she also served as chairwoman of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Olympic committee for the Atlanta Games in 1996. Ms. Wright hopes to continue writing, singing, speaking and developing the satellite campus.
