William S. Herr Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

Mr. Herr is proud to have played an integral part in establishing and promoting one of the first facilities dedicated to treating the mentally ill.

    STAUNTON, VA, October 9, 2008 /Journalism and Writing PR News/ -- William S. Herr, who has retired as Programs Director and Chief Psychologist from the DeJarnette Center for Human Development, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of psychology.

Mr. Herr has enjoyed a fruitful 30-year career. At the DeJarnette Center for Human Development, a residential care center providing rehabilitation and special education services for the behaviorally disordered, he was responsible for program development, implementation and staff training. Mr. Herr is proud to have played an integral part in establishing and promoting one of the first facilities dedicated to treating the mentally ill through education techniques and learning theory. In the course of his career, he wrote six publications including contributions to the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy and a novel entitled, "Santorini Logbook - 1628 BC." He attributes his success and longevity to his perseverance and to the quality of the education that he received.

A state certified psychologist, Mr. Herr received his Master's Degree in Philosophy of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1959. He was affiliated with the Virginia Psychological Association and the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy.
