In 1993, Ms. Sibr received her Master's Degree in Counseling from National-Louis University and her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Drake University in 1966. She is affiliated with the Downers Grove Area Writers Workshop and the Illinois State Poetry Society and often donates to the Unitarian Church of Hinsdale.
In 1975, Ms. Sibr received the Outstanding Young Women of America Award and in 1966, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting and reading Writer's Digest.
